In the Audition round, contestants are asked to prepare a 90 second  'audition cut' of a musical theatre style song. When they arrive at the audition, they will sign in with our team and wait for their name to be called to come through to the actual audition room.

In the audition room, they will perform in front of our panel of West End judges, accompanied by our musical director on the piano and receive feedback which we also email out to you afterwards. Contestants find out via email if they are through to the Heat round.

FAQs

Remember to bring your sheet music and some water with you!

Can I warm up in the audition?

Just like in a real audition, we don't guarantee space to warm up so make sure you warm up before you come!

How long does it take?

Although we call contestants in hour long slots, the actual audition will take 5 minutes

Can a parent watch the audition?

As this initial round is a private audition, parents are unable to watch. However, friends and family can watch the heats!

HEADSHOTS

At the Auditions, we offer the chance to have your headshot taken by a professional photographer. Headshots are important in the performing industry as they are often the first thing that casting directors see of you.

Headshots cost £30 and include a 5-10 minute session and 4 photos which will be sent to you digitally.

There are bursaries and sibling concessions available - see the Enter Now page for more details.
